Grease coats the sensors, causing them not to work. R.V. Digest-It keeps the sensors clean and working. When you dump the tank, the chemicals are dumped also. When you use R.V. Digest-It and you dump the tank, some of the bacteria cling to the side of the tank, eating the grease and debris that sticks to the side of the tank.
